LiveLooper is simple double mono looper with reverb and record options, made for improvising with acoustic instruments.
It was originally prepared for Stefan Wesołowski.

LiveLooper was created in Max/MSP 6, with help of Gigaverb external made by Juhana Sadeharju & Olaf Matthes.

The beautiful sounds of Wesolowski’s violin work very well together with Kaliski’s electronic background, which is quite delicate on most tracks (the exception being 281011#3 which includes quite some feedback distortion).

281011 is collaborative album recorded with Stefan Wesołowski on violin, and released by Few Quiet People. It came to life during preparations for concert at “Culture 2.0″ conference at National Audiovisual Institute. We were asked to play by PanGenerator to promote Dodecaudion – spatial audiovisual controller.

For this project I’ve created custom application in max/msp, that used OSC messages sent from Dodecaudion to control volumes and panning of prerecorded samples (drones and field recordings), as well as different effects. Sound was fed into long looper that helped me easily create layered composition. Stefan was also using this application, as his violin was recording on second, shorter looper.

Effect is densely layered, seemingly linear, but yet very interesting album with six tracks, and one special remix made afterwards by me (track no. 2).

M4L Bulbs Pack is max4live pack of five plugins that work inside Ableton Live. They are designed to provide the quick creation of interesting sounds using a technique called spectral processing. Sound is treated like a video stream, processed, and then turned back into audio.

This visualization was made in max/msp, and uses live audio input that was grabbed from mixer. Main line was drawn using amplitude. Sound was then further analyzed, and different frequencies controlled multiple aspects of video processing.

Few days ago “A Silent Swaying Breath” was released on Audiogourmet netlabel.

SoundFjord, Audio Gourmet’s Harry Towell (Spheruleus) and Bartosz Dziadosz (Pleq) have come together to curate an album created “by the people, for the people”, to raise funds for those that has been affected by the recent unrest that ravaged cities across the country.

The album, a statement and a monument to collaboration and community, brings together works selected from 1-minute, unedited recordings gleaned from artists, musicians and the general public across the globe. Spheruleus and Pleq sensitively weave together an eclectic selection of field recordings, samples, spoken word pieces and instrumentation, creating for the listener momentous emotional landscapes, delicate, tender moments and most of all, a yearning tumult of haunting quietude: a silent, swaying breath.

These 1-minute samples were provided by variety of artists, including Hakobune, Lauki, Marihiko Hara, Offthesky, Pawn, Pillowdiver amongst many others.

For this record I’ve prepared few droneish loops from heavily processed piano samples.
