M4L Bulbs Pack is max4live pack of five plugins that work inside Ableton Live. They are designed to provide the quick creation of interesting sounds using a technique called spectral processing. Sound is treated like a video stream, processed, and then turned back into audio.

My friend Wojciech Morawski organises small local festival – Cyklotronika, and some time ago he came up with idea to make it more audiovisual. I’ve prepared minimalistic visualization for Few Quiet People Unquiet Event.
This visualization was made in max/msp, and uses live audio input that was grabbed from mixer. Main line was drawn using amplitude. Sound was then further analyzed, and different frequencies controlled multiple aspects of video processing.

A generative book that presents programmed images by various artists. Each print in process will be calculated individually – which makes every single book unique.
Artists, designers and developers are encouraged to program image creating applications, which will be published as four-page spreads in the book.
These programs visualize internet data-streams or display self-generated content. They are able to save continuously changing images on demand.
Every application will run through an auto-generative printing program which generates and compiles all images and metatexts into a printable book.
The printing will be done digitally due to continuously changing data.
The final result will be an unique art book; a fusion of various digital artworks in printed form.
I was really lucky to be one of 42 artists selected for this project.
My application is using online webcam images from North and South poles, and rearranges parts of them to show how vast and empty those places can be.
This is simple pack of three max4live plugins that allow sending OSC messages from Ableton Live.
Connect let’s you select port and IP address of computer to communicate with. Button “Set Values” sends those informations to HControl and VControl. “Send tempo” toggle let’s you choose if you wish to send Live tempo (through /tempo route) when it changes.
HControl is simple plugin for sending 0.-1. values to designed OSC route.
VControl sends 0.-1. values to designed OSC route based on current volume (you can boost it up with gain, and control time interval for gathering volume data).
You can use as many VControl and HControl plugins in one set as you like, remember to set different routes! There should be only one Connect plugin in your set, and you can place it anywhere (probably best on master).
These three plugins are very simple, but I hope they can help when starting with OSC communication.
